Scouting Report
2000 Outlook Veteran Hypothetical Seven member, Daniel Spurgin, should have a strong 2000 campaign. After spending the summer improving his stage presence by participating in a rigorous series of clown workshops, Spurgin hopes to come out an loose some of the rocking back and forth that has marred some of his earlier work.
Telling Jokes Spurgin's joke delivery has been clocked as fast as 5 complete jokes per minute, proof that the older comedian still has what it takes to compete at this level. How he'll tell jokes when other players have already asserted premises remains to be seen. Spurgin has been an eager but sometimes wild joke teller, and if he continues to gain the control that time usually affords older comedians, Spurgin might have a breakout joke telling year.
Defense & Hitting Dan Spurgin has always enjoyed a joke save, but it is not the strength of his game. He will always happily attempt a save. To other players this move may seem worse than the original situation which needed saving. As far as hitting is concerned, he is an above average hitter for his position. He actually hits the others with great skill and aplumb.
1999 Season While Spurgin made some people laugh during the 1999 season, much of his efforts went towards the Hype7 movie. The fruits of those labors are yet to be seen, and might have a great impact on how succesful 2000 turns out to be
